Mossa.bmp (EDLab-PD) Mahmoud Abdel-Wahab Mossa MOHAMED He was born in Qena, Egypt, on August 1, 1986. He graduated from Faculty of Engineering, Minia University in May 2008. Since January 2010, he was working as assistant lecturer at Electrical Engineering Department at the same University. He received his Master degree in the field of control of electrical drives at January 2013. Now he is a PhD student at Industrial Engineering School at University of Padova, Italy. His current researches focused on developing a new DTC control technique for AC induction machine drives.
Omar_Bottesi.png (EDLab-BZ) Omar BOTTESI He received the Master Degree in Electrical Engineering in October 2012 from Padova University. Since 2013 till 2014 he was fellow researcher at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Faculty of Science and Technology. He received the PhD in July 2017 at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano where he is currently Research Assistant working on high efficiency electromechanical conversion systems.
Davide_DR.png (EDLab-PD) Davide DA RU' He received the B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Padova in 2012 and 2014 respectively. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. Degree within the Electrical Drives Laboratory at the same University. His main research interests include control of permanent magnet and reluctance synchronous machines.
VirginiaM.jpg (EDLab-PD) Virginia MANZOLINI She received the B.S. degree in Information Engineering and the M.S. degree in Automation Engineering from University of Padova in 2013 and 2015 respectively. She is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree at the same University. Her main research activity deals with innovative control strategies for electrical AC drives, with particular focus to field-weakenig and sensorless control of Synchronous Reluctance Machines.
yaweiwang.jpg (EDLab-PD) Yawei WANG - He was born in China. He received the B.E.E. degree from China University of Mining and Technology, Xuzhou, China, in 2012, and the master degree in electrical engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2015. He is currently a PhD student in University of Padova, Italy. His research interests include the design and analysis of PM and reluctance machines.
MilodSor.png (EDLab-PD) Milo DE SORICELLIS He was born in Verona, Italy, in 1990. He received the B.Sc. degree in Engineering of Energy at the University of Padova, Italy, in 2012 and the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Padova, in 2015. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree at the Department of Industrial Engineering at University of Padova, in collaboration with Robert Bosch GmbH, Germany. His research interests include high performance electrical drives for traction application in the automotive field.
LUDOVICO_ORTOMBINA.jpg (EDLab-VI) Ludovico ORTOMBINA He received the B.S. and M.S (cum laude) in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Padova, Vicenza, Italy, in 2013 and 2015, respectively. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in Mechatronics Engineering in the Department of Management and Engineering, University of Padova. His research interests include control and parameter estimation techniques for ac motors.
Emir.bmp (EDLab-PD) Emir POSKOVIC He is currently a Ph.D student at the Electrical Drive Laboratory (EDLab), University of Padova. His main research activity is in the field of innovative magnetic materials for the new applications in electrical machines, carried out in collaboration with the Politecnico of Turin (Italy).
bg.jpg (EDLab-PD) Giacomo BACCO He received both the BS in Energy Engineering in 2013 and the MS in Electrical Engineering in 2016 from the University of Padova, Padova, Italy. Currently he is a PhD student of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the same university. His research interests are focused in the analysis and design of synchronous machines, in particular synchronous reluctance (REL) motors.
cristian.jpg (EDLab-PD) Cristian BABETTO He received the Laurea Degree (as M.Sc. degree) in Electrical Engineering at the University of Padova in 2015, obtaining the full marks and praise. The final project dealt with the design of synchronous surface permanent magnet generators with external rotor. After graduation he received a scholarship with the aim of characterizing a permanent magnet assisted reluctance motor (PMAREL ) for home appliances. In 2016 he started the PhD studies whose main subject is the design of synchronous reluctance motors (REL) and PMAREL motors for home appliances and electric vehicles.
Toso.jpg (EDLab-PD) Francesco TOSO He was born in Florence, Italy. He received the Laurea degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Padova in 2016. The same year, he was a student visitor in the University of Nottingham (UK) and he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Padova, as associate researcher where he worked in the field of motor drives. He is currently a Ph.D student at Electrical Drive Laboratory (EDLab), University of Padova. His research activity is focused on advanced techniques of sensorless and predictive control for motor drives.
carbonieri.jpg (EDLab-PD) Matteo CARBONIERI He receveid the B.S. degree in Energy Engineering in 2014 and the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2017 from University of Padova, obtaining the full marks. His final project dealt with analisys procedure and strategies for the efficiency improvement of Induction Machines in continuos duty. His main research activity is the design, analisys and characterisation of Induction Motor for home appliances and low power electrical vehicle.
castagnaro.jpg (EDLab-PD) Emanuel CASTAGNARO "He received the B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering in 2015 and the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Pavia in 2017. He is currently a PhD student in University of Padova, Italy. His research interests include the offline co-simulation of SynchRel machines and the power losses evaluation in soft ferromagnetic materials."
